Roohi Ahmed's work had be returned back to be shown in Karachi. The map of country as used in the work did not remsemble maps available locally in Mumbai and people were not ready to exhibit the work on the streets.

Hum : Mixed media on paper : 8 x 11 inches
The title reads 'he' + 'meem' = 'hum' - 'he' is the first letter of the word 'hindu' and 'meem' is the first letter of the word 'muslim', these two letters when joined together make the word 'hum' which means 'we' or 'us'. A lot of text forms the backdrop to the map and this has been taken from the page of the dictionary containing the word hum and all the words which contains hum as their first syllable and their meanings, like eg., 'hum-asr' meaning of the same period, 'hum-rang' meaning of the same colour, 'humssaya' meaning neighbours etc. The two graphs on the left read as follows: the one at the top reads 'political sentiments' and the one below reads 'peoples’ sentiments'
